Branford Firefighters Proudly Support our Troops

Red Shirt Friday - Members of Branford Fire Department, Local 2533 proudly display their support for our troops. The current uniform standard was altered to support the men and women of our armed forces including four of their own Local 2533 union members. This includes Captain Lowell Collingwood who served 4 years in the Air Force. Joe Laudicina served 5 years in the Air Force. Jason Karpovich served 5 years in the Navy and Craig O’Rourke served 8 years in the Reserves. Craig also spent 18 months in Iraq. The mission of redshirtfriday.org is to show support for our servicemen and women. They are not a political organization. They care about making the support of our servicemen and women known to fellow Americans and the world. Wearing red every Friday lets our servicemen and women know we support their sacrifice and we will not forget them.
