Engine 1

Engine 1 is our newest addition to the fleet. It is a 2005 Smeal, carries 750 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon per minute pump. This unit has been fitted with state-of-the-art technology. LED lights have replaced the dated strobe-style bulbs and a new computer system allows the officer to obtain vital incident information with the push of a button. New communication headsets prevent hearing injury and improve radio communications.


Engine 7

Engine 7 is our backup engine. It is a 1994 Sutphen, carries 750 gallons of water and has a 1500 gallon per minute pump. This unit was our original front line engine until recently replaced by the new Smeal, Engine 1.


Car 6

Car 6 is a 2005 Ford Excursion and is utilized as a command vehicle. Car 6 is manned by the on-duty deputy chief and responds to almost every call, including some medicals.


Medic Unit 1

Medic 1 is a 2005 Ford F-450. The body is made by Excellance and is designed for basic and advanced life support use as well as transport.


Medic Unit 2

Medic 2 is a 2008 Ford F-350 XLT-Superduty. The body is made by Excellance and is designed for basic and advanced life support use as well as transport.


Truck 1

Truck 1 is used by the career staff to suppliment Engine 1 during fireground operations. It is a 1987 Sutphen Tower Ladder.  It is equipped with ground ladders, saws, exhaust fans, and additional fire equipment.  Truck 1 serves as the only ariel device in the town of Branford.
